Rufio's dad says: My girlfriend and I found Rufio through a family who was giving their dog's litter away. Rufio is the runt of his brothers and sisters, but definitely the bravest and most outspoken. He has one brown eye and one bright ice blue. The difference between the two is breathtaking. We also have two cats, Calvin and Hobbes, who weren't too happy with Rufio's arrival at first, but eventually warmed up to him. Now Calvin likes to get chased by Rufio, but Hobbes likes to wrestle with him. When he's not outside chasing leaves and rolling in the snow, he's inside and chewing on his plethora of toys.
Hi, Rufio! You have the most hypnotic eyes - I love them :) You are absolutely enchanting and I would love to hang out with you, if I could. I think terriers are wonderful in every way, but I had no idea - until four years ago when Sugar Bear came into my life as a spunky senior - how incredibly intelligent they are.

What a cutie! 37 cookies is my vote. His nose looks so much like my dog's that I'd bet he's got some wirehaired daschund in him. He also has the same air of adorable trouble.

My daughter has a similar little dog with brown eyes who is now 10 years old- I didn't get a chance to see it when it was just a puppy so it is lovely seeing thes photos as I know this is what it would have looked like- adorable.

Terrier mutts are such wonderful little dogs and I know you're in for lots of fun with this little guy. I don't think they ever outgrow their puppyhood. Many years ago I had a Benji look alike that was a spunky little girl for over 13 years - up till a week before she went on to the Bridge.
Hope you have at least that much time to spend with Rufio - and then a whole lot more.
And all the biscuits that Rufio wants are his - just so he doesn't eat his kitties! :-)

My Trixie (a mini Dachshund) thought she was a cat when she was little as she had come into a household with 2 adult cats who adored her & played with her. Trixie is no more, but I still remember her playing with all the cats in her 12 &1/2 yrs with us.
