Mia's mom says: Mia is a very playful and smart puppy. At seven weeks old she learned to sit, lay down and shake; at eight weeks she learned to speak and at ten weeks she learned to play dead. Her favorite toy is a stuffed animal which she knows as her "baby." Mia just recovered from parvo. We weren't sure if she was going to pull through, but she proved to be a very resilient dog and fought it off. Mia loves children and children love Mia. All of the neighborhood kids ask to play with Mia and whenever they see her, they run over to play with her. We hope to train Mia to be a therapy dog at a children's hospital so she can be around children, which she loves, and so that she can help raise their spirits at the same time. Mia is still very young and has a lot of growing up and learning to do, and though we love the puppy stage of her life, we are looking forward to seeing the mature dog she is yet to be.
Truly a classic beauty. What a wonderful future you have planned for her! I hope that we can look forward to updates and pictures of a grown-up Princess Mia. God bless you and your beautiful girl. May you have a long and wonderful journey together~
You just gotta love a shepherd! I love the ears. Mia is a beautiful pup and I'm sure she will make an excellent therapy dog. She lifted my spirits just looking at these pictures. I'm so glad that you want to do this for the children- it will be a very rewarding experience for all concerned. May she have many years of giving love and joy to lots of children.
Mia is beautiful, and what a good idea to train her as a therapy dog. May you have many happy years with your girl......we had 14.5 with our shepherd....fortunately the large breeds are living longer lives now.
So fabulous!! Those ears!!! That smile!!!! Billions of biscuits to scrappy little (but not for long!) Mia! (I just couldn't choose a photo, b/c each one became my "favorite" as I viewed it.)
What a glorious face!! She is just darling! And just look at those feet that she will be growing into!! Therapy work is a lot of fun, and you can get very attached to the people you visit. I always felt that I lost a friend when a patient died at the nursing home I used to visit. Miss Mia, may you have a long and happy life!
AWWW Mia you are such a sweet baby and I hope you grow into them beautiful ears of yours!! Hospital work is a great idea! She will brighten so many lives. I wish you and Mia all the luck in the world, give her lots of hugs and kisses!!
Lovely Mia!! Glad she recovered from parvo. She has a wise look in her eyes, and I hope she does grow up to do the work she is meant to do. Blessings for you all + many happy times.
Mia ~! You are a special doggie, God has plans for you...He brought
you back from the edge of Hell (having recovered from Parvo virus) What a lucky dog you are. You have proven that you are capable of
great things. Your future, hopefully, will be a bright one...and your Mom sees your potential. You will make a beautiful and loving PAL
to hospitalized children. God Bless You ~!
beautiful and brilliant- have to love GSDs! Thank goodness she survived Parvo. I'm sure she'll go on to be a wonderful therapy dog.
I just love puppy tummies, This is such a cute picture of your baby. She is going to be HUGE, not only in size, but also in her endeavors as a therapy dog. She doesn't have to be just for kid, she can work in senior homes as well. Good luck with her and PLEASE enjoy all the good things she will bring to you and your family.
She is magnificent. There is just something so regal about German Shepards. I would love to own one, one day, but I don't think I am up to the challenge of such a smart breed of dog. All the best w/this very lovely creature.
Ok, u have got the most darling angel! i luv the way her ears flop, as if she's in trouble! she must be a bundle of luvable fur! enjoy!
I love you, Mia! You are a sweet beautiful noble loyal intelligent pup.
Pretty nice paws too! :)
German Shepherds have always been my favorite. If I saw you on the street, I'd go running after you too.
What a lucky owner you are! I love GSD's and I think Mia is precious. And it's so admiralable you want to share the happiness she gives you with others by training her to be a therapy dog.
Mama Mia- she is GORGEOUS! Truly a magnificient girl. So glad she survived parvo - she is destined for great things. Lots of good wishes for Mia - have a wonderful life!
OMG what a pretty baby girl!!! I just love her eyes, they just melt my heart. Tons of hugs, kisses and biscuits. Best wishes for a long and loving life together.
This truly is ONE BEAUTIFUL PUPPY. Please enjoy her for many, many years to come. Best of luck to you and thank you for wanting to do such a noble deed by wanting her to comfort children. God Bless.
Oh wow, what a pretty girl! Bet she's a handful too. Glad she made it through parvo, that can be deadly.
Millions of biscuits for this sweetie!
Best wishes for a long happy life!
hi to both mia and her humans - very glad to know she is fully recovered! she looks great and totally huggable. i wish you many happy years together. oh - and good luck helping all those kids mia - i'm sure you'll do great. sending u a truck-load of biscuits and many kisses!
The first picture of Mia captured my heart, but the last picture shows more of what a beautiful lady she is turning out to be. I had a GS who had been dumped on a corner and shot by someone else. I had Animal Control transport him to my vet. He recovered, I brought him home and only had him for 3 years, but he was a great dog. Mia looks very intelligent and I bet she makes a great therapy dog. Hugs, kisses and 11 biscuits from Kansas USA.
Aww...what a pretty baby!!! She will be a gorgeous girl when she gets older. :) I'm glad she's better now! Have a wonderful life with your family Mia!!! :D
Praise God that Mia pulled through the parvo! I have had two German Shepards in my life, and know how intelligent, caring, and protective they are. It is wonderful Mia loves children, and your plans for Mia to help them. God Bless you all with love, health, and happiness.
Puppy belly!!!
GSDs are the BEST! I've had them all my life -- I've got 3 right now and they are a joy! My girl is 5 and my boys are both 4 and most of the time they still act like puppies!
Thank God Mia came through the Parvo! She surely has a wonderful life right now and it will only get better with becoming a therapy dog!
A zillion hugs, kisses & biscuits to Mia! Years of happiness from one GSD mom to another!!
FABulous! What a wonderful puppy and wonderful goals you have! I wish you all the best with that - and congratulations on getting through parvo. With love from Posh Tater and Parsnip the Puppy.
Oh Mia you are absolutely ADORABLE!!! You are a very PRECIOUS little dog! :) I'm sure you'll make a wonderful therapy dog. :)
Many kisses, hugs and biscuits to you!!!
Happy New Year and best wishes always!!!
Mia is gorgeous! I love the big ear stage too! Rex's ears never seemed to big for his head. 11biscuits
What a beautiful dog. She will truly be inspirational and I think it's great you are making her a therapy dog!
Look at that face!!! Just beautiful! I have seen the positive results of visits from therapy dogs with patients both young, old and inbetween. I'm convinced the therapy dogs were angels dressed as dogs. Their visits, on many occasions, brought about profound changes physically and mentally. What a loving and compassionate plan. THANK YOU. I hope you and your baby have many wonderful years together.
All the very best with Mia and a long and happy life together. Couldn't resist the tickle belly photo. Naturally 11plus biscuits for Mia - enjoy!
OMG, Mia is a BEAUTY :) :) So happy to hear she pulled through parvo.. She has a purpose in life and it is to melt your heart.. :) 11 million biscuits for Mia.. :)
I'm in Puppy Love!!!! Mia is absolutely beautiful. I love all dogs but German Shepherd's are my all time favorite. We have a 3 yr old "puppy" GS at home named Nena & as full of energy as she is we Love her to pieces!! I commend the plans you have with Mia. Knowing the joy our "puppy" brings to us & Mia's sweet loving face she will enjoy the Children as much as they will enjoy her. I wish you many happy years with Mia.
What big ears you have!
The better to hear you with!
Mia, you're so cute, I want to cuddle and play with you all day.
Mia, my goodness, you are so cute! My second breed (my first breed, Goldens), the GSD's are wonderful, intelligent pets. I see in your beautiful eyes, that you will possess all you will need to make your pet parents happy with you. I'm also glad to hear that you were able to overcome that old nasty Parvo! Many years of lovins and blessings to you and your family!
Once you have a German Sheperd you know what true devotion and loyalty are, they are the best breed of dog in my oppinion. Many, many happy years to you Mia.
Mia--You are so gorgeous!!! I love GSD and I would give 20 biscuits if I could. I've been lurking for a while, and Mia gave me a reason to register. I hope you have many happy years with beautiful Mia. I had a lovely female GSD for 14 years and she was wonderful!
I WANT HER! Mom you are very lucky to have Mia and as for her being a therepy dog, well, she lifted my spirits by just looking at her pictures, 1-million bones...Mojo's Dad
Oh My! There is nothing better than puppy belly! Look at that face...enjoy this little one, she is a beauty!
What a precious little pup she is and what a lovely young girl she is turning into. so glad she recovered from parvo.
Mia! you have a bright future ahead of you . . . . you are absolutely beautiful!!! Love the pics. . . especially this one! Puts a smile on my face!
Yay, bat eared German Shepherd puppies! She is adorable and congrats at her beating parvo! I work at a vet office and it's always a relief when they beat parvo!
Mia is so beautiful. I just love german shepherds. Mia is a lucky dog and you are lucky to have her too. I hope she makes a great therapy dog. 11+++ biscuits for this adorable girl.
God Bless you Mia and your family.....you are such a beautiful puppy dog!!! Just gorgeous!!!! A great 2008 to ya honey!!!
Aww she is the 2nd most cutest puppy I've ever seen and the cutest I've seen on here (Second to my own German Sheperd Roxy!). I'm so happy she recovered and hope she has a healthy life ahead =D
Adorable little Mia! My little one also had parvo when she was a pup, it's a lot of work and love on both parts and as I'm sure you already know, it's quite a bonding experience. Much love and health and many years!
She's a love. If you seriously want to train her as a therapy dog, find out right away what therapy dogs can and cannot do. I was talking to a therapy dog "grader" the other day, and she said, as nice as some dogs are, they are automatically rejected when they jump on a person, here in Houston anyway.
Hey boys, here I am! Mia is just like our Byrdie, she needs to be more ladylike! hee hee.....when our girl "spreads her legs" we know its for a belly rub, but we tell her it isn't very lady like!! GS's aren't my favorite breed generally speaking, but Mia is a darling. I can see why everyone loves her. And I'm so glad she beat Parvo! And kudos to you and Mia for her future training and work. Aren't dogs just the best??
Mia is one of the prettiest puppies I've seen! I'm SO happy she's recovered from her parvo and I wish her a VERY long, healthy and happy life. ;)
Mama Mia is right! Not only is she gorgeous, but she's a fighter. She recovers from parvo and is a soon-to-be a therapy dog. Amazing! Completely amazing! What else is there to say? 11 biscuits. God bless you both.
I love this pic because Mia's ears are beautiful. Be carefull with not messing with those ears to much as the cartilage can break down and so can her lovely ears. I love The German Shepard Dog. Just beautiful and she will make you feel so safe with her around. God Bless YOu Mia.
Mia is precious! Congratulations! She will be an amazing therapy dog - you can see it in her beautiful eyes. Love her as she will undoubtedly love you all her life. :-)
Mia is absolutely beautiful! I am sure that she will make a wonderful therapy dog. You have picked a very special mission for her. My Lab was not officially trained as a therapy dog but does that work in my office (I am a Family Doc). I picked the picture which seems to show her love and intelligence. May you have many happy years together.
Mia, you are precious and sooo beautiful!!!! And I just CAN'T resist that puppy tummy and that playful look! SOOO glad you pulled through a tough time with that parvo...a nasty disease...you are a strong little girl, and I know you will be a great therapy dog to help others pull through tough times....you know about that....cause you've been there....not to mention the smiles you will bring to all the faces that see you coming!!!!:) Many, many years of healthy, happy years of love and joy with your family, and with others!!:)
Mia you are so cute. I wish i had you because you are the cutest thing in the world. I hope you are happy with you dog because you are going to have her for a long time.
Oh, me, oh, my, oh MIA! What a little fluffy pup pup beauty. Thanks for sharing her. She's a B E A U T Y!!!!!!! xoxoxo
MIA! Wonder dog and fearless defender of Parvo!! Hip hip hooray!!!! Now you can help others when they're not feeling well!!! You go girl! :)
Mia is very beautiful. I'm sure she'll make a great therapy dog. 11 biscuits and I hope she has a long happy life.
I would love a male twin to Mia. She is the perfect GSD in my eyes. We recently lost our 12+ year old male and his litter mate sister is still doing very well, although slowed down greatly. She needs a little brother to keep her active and happy. Ours have been the best babysitters in the world. Little kids were always the #1 attraction for Topper and still are for Shannon. So I think it is really great what you are planning for Mia. The best to you for many years to come.
GSD Mom
PS I vote for more bones than are accepted!
Oops, I too for got to add my favorite picture. I had to scan them several times and do an eenie, meenie, minie moe but finally
decided on this one.

Mia you are without a doubt a precious cutie pie! You bring back the memories of our two German Shepherds, they were a mother and daughter combo and we loved them dearly. I am sure you will make a great therapy dog. Hugs and kisses!
Mia is so lucky to be here and have such wonderful parents to get her through her Parvo... I love the ears. Love her forever as she is a special girl.
What a beautiful and smart little girl you have. I wish you luck with therapy dog training. I hope to one day do that myself. It is such an amazing thing to see how being near an animal can brighten someone's spirits and give them a reason to keep hope alive.

As a Sheppard Lover Mia is amazing, the intelligence in her eyes is undeniable. You are so very lucky to have her. I know you will enjoy every moment with her.
That is the sweetest puppy face I've ever seen...and she looks so girly too! Awww, my heart is melting!!! Glad you survived the parvo...our little pup is also a survivor of it. I wish you many happy years with this beautiful little lady. She will be wonderful as a therapy dog...just seeing her picture sure made me feel better!
A big smooch for you, Mia!!
What a sweetie pie! I'm sure glad she made it through the parvo... it can be so devastating! Hugs for Mia!
Such a sweet girl! I think she'd make an excellent therapy dog. I know I'd feel a million times better after a cuddle with Mia. :)Live long and happy, Mia!
