Griffin (the dog) says: "This is a picture of me after my first trip to the beauty salon. I kinda like it! I live in the USA (Houston, Texas) with my two dads. I don't work, hunt, or retrieve. I just sit at home and play and eat and sleep. One of my favorite things to do is sit on the ledge of the second floor window and look at passing cars and flying birds. Recently, my two dads brought me a brother - his name is Kirby. I'm trying to get along with him. I'm trying real hard, but I think Kirby eats too much."

He is adorable and takes great pictures! I remember when I was young we had two Shih Tzu's and they were the most lovable dogs ever.

Griffin is alot of fluff, with alot of heart. He is such a cutie. The coloring is beautiful on him. It is good that he has a brother. They will learn to really love each other and be the best of pals in time to come. Dogs are pack animals, so they will bond in no time. God Bless you all....

As soon as they learn what makes you laugh, they learn to repeat it endlessly just to keep you happy. And when you just want to curl up and cuddle, they are the first to volunteer.
I grew up with (and still love) big dogs, but as soon as I first started getting to know shih tzus as a breed, I knew there was no way I'd ever be happy without one again.

I'm one of Griffin's dads. Thank you everyone for your kind comments on Griffin. He's so proud that he's today's Daily Puppy! His brother Kirby (also a Shih Tzu) will have to take a back seat today, until we get a chance to submit Kirby's pictures, too. They both love to cuddle, and we love them both so much. Thanks to DailyPuppy for a terrific site that's simply about LOVE.
OMG, What a doll you are Griffin :) I have a female Shih Tzu with similar coloring as you. Mine is more white with some light brown patches, light colored eyes and a taupe colored nose. Griff (I hope it's ok that I'm so familiar and call you "Griff"), but have I got an idea for you...it's all about establishing who the top dog is, you know...chew on one of your dads' slippers or even do a little pee on the floor (but make sure it can be easily cleaned up...no carpet and avoid the hard wood) and then get out of the way and make the dads think it's the new fella. It worked for me. I have my folks believing that Maizie (my step dog sister) is nothing but trouble and cuteness. Geordie the Terrier

Griffin, you are sooooo beautiful! I am sure you are cuter than your brother Kirby because you are as cute as it is possible to be. No one could be cuter than you. So you will always win that competition versus your brother. If you aren't getting your share of the food, just beg and look adorable and your daddies will give you some extra goodies. If you're well-fed yourself and Kirby's not taking food from you but just getting too fat himself, teach him to dance and do gymnastics. Then you can just watch him entertaining you while he burns those calories.

Oh, what a hard life it is being so adorable! I had a shih tzu once and she was the sweetest thing. She didn't do a lot either until I left her alone and then he proceeded to find anything made of paper and rip it to shreds!

I could not decide on a pic. They are all totally adorable. My Shih Tzu, Dreyfus, thinks his "sister" Mai Li, the Lhasa, eats too much, but he hasn't missed many meals himself & they both look it.
