Finn's mom says: She came to us just after Thanksgiving. Our plan was to introduce her into our family while our older chocolate lab, Maggie, was still alive, making the transition easier on Diggory, our 7 year old black lab. Unfortunately, Maggie passed away before Thanksgiving. We all miss Maggie terribly, and Finn has taken up a new and very special place in all our hearts. She and her older brother Diggory bonded instantly and love to wear each other out wrestling all day long. She's definitely the alpha female and is really going to give Diggory a run for his money when she gets bigger!
The only thing better than a Labrador...is _two_ Labradors. I have three and I'm not even warmed up yet. We humans could learn a great deal from them. Hugs and cookies to Finn, she's adorable.
hum hasnt anyone noticed the look in her eyes? and by 'bonded' did you mean 'glued one to the other'? lol
Aww. Finn is so sweet! I love this picture because it reminds me of our stafforshire terrier puppy tilly. When she pulls on something she wont give up either!!!
Hello beautiful - you look full of mischief and I'm sure you could get away with anything with those expressive eyes. What a gorgeous little baby you are. Have a wonderful life with Diggory and make Maggie proud of you watching from doggie heaven. Lots of hugs and love. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
What great pictures, hard to choose a favorite. Finn and Diggory are both so precious. I think it's great the way they have bonded. I bet there is never a dull moment with them two. 11 biscuits
What a gorgeous girl! Everybody knows, you can't go wrong with a lab pup. Just about the best dog in the world. Enjoy!
Best buddies all of the way! Finn is absolutely precious. So is big brother. Wishing you many years of love and happiness!
I've been wanting to comment on here for sooo long and I finally got up the nerve to! These pics are too cute to describe! Labs are the number 1 dog (according to the AKC?-and my sister!). She had a black lab and he was the best, but sadly she had to put him down last year-he was 13 yrs old. We all miss him but the new (yellow) one is filling her time!
What a sweet girl - and doing so much good for her very young age in helping her parents and Diggory to be able to smile after the loss of Maggie. So sorry! :-(
Wish I could pick more than one pic since they are all so great, but the one of her using Diggory for a pillow is so sweet.
Many happy years and lots of adventures to parents and both pups! And biscuits unlimited to both these beauties.
So sorry about Maggie! Finn is such a cute pup, and Diggory is gorgeous as well. Have fun watching and loving them!
Babie's tired!
Loosing an animal is like loosing a child, I'm sorry about Maggie and while no dog will ever take her place it looks like Finn will help the healing...Mojo's Dad
Thanks so much for sharing Finn and Diggory with us today !!! Finn looks like such a little cuddler and Diggory is the greatest - Labs are a wonderful breed - condolences on the loss of Maggie - lots of biscuits for Finn and Diggory :)
OMG! I would be kissing this face all the time! What an adorable puppy. There's just not enough biscuits. Thank you for sharing her and giving me a nice warm heart on a very cold morning.
Wow! I am so Smitten with both Diggory and Finn. The love they share is so obvious. Diggory must have an amazing heart and strength, to welcome a new friend while accepting the loss of an old friend. My condolences for the loss of Maggie. She is smiling upon the family. Approving with delight as bossy Finn is being guided by patient Diggory. You have a beautiful family. Many happy and healthy years together.
Innocent and so sweet!!!:) I am sorry for your loss and hope that Finn and Diggory help to keep you loved and content for years to come. It is amazing how we need these sweet dogs....and they are all so precious!
what a beautifull little girl!...as for Diggery....what a great sibling to have especially since Finn can use Diggery as a pillow!!..Maggie is trully watching out for the family!!... lots of hugs and Kisses!!!!
So sorry about Maggie. Looks like you made a perfect choice with Finn. She is absolutely perfect and it looks like Diggory really loves his little sissie. All my females (regardless of size) push my male around. But the boydogs don't seem to mind --- :-) ! Enjoy your lovely, lovely girl and big handsome boy!
she is a very cute puppy. iam sorry that maggie passed away before Finn could meet her. of coarse she is going to be the alpha female. Finn show that boy you mean business.
All of the pictures are so cute, it was terribly difficult to pick one. How lucky you are to have so much love around you. They are both adorable. I am sorry for your loss. God Bless you all with many years of love, health, and happiness.
What an adorable pair! Diggory reminds me a lot of my boy Lab, right down to the red collar. I am so sorry for your loss.
Bless your hearts after losing Maggie and taking in Finn - - and what a fine looking dog Diggory is - and sweet too - I know these 2 cuddlers will be happy. Peace and happiness to your family and your 2 snugglemuffins. P.S. Could we see a picture of Maggie?
Just this morning, as I bent down to kiss my yellow labbie on his nose, I thought to myself...."if only everyone could have this kind of love in their lives....what a world it would be!"
A lifetime of happy tails and labbie grins to this lucky family!
Another Dog - another Angel! We can rescue their bodies, they can rescue our souls... And baby Finn seems to be doing her job very well for all of you.
I brought a stray beagle home 2 1/2 years ago to my 5 y.o. Lucy springer lab mix, who was never happy to have another dog on her territory, and who would expressively grawl if I pet any other dog. The beagle named Phoenix crolled into Lucy's heart within 2 weeks, he, like Finn, likes to use Lucy as his pillow. Now, he can take any toy from her, eat food out of her plate, and sleep with me every night. He tought her how to share, he made her more tolerant of other dogs, and they are the best boddies!
Sorry for a long story... Back to Finn and Diggory! 22 bisquits! 10 stars! And many happy years of togetherness to all of you!
she is great! and looks so happy with her new family. Congrats and I know that your family will create wonderful memories with her.
Finn is so precious!!! I could eat her up. I have 2 yellow (blond) labs. I had a black lab at the time we got our oldest yellow so the pics of both of your babies together just pull at my heart. Aren't labs the best?!? Best of luck to you.
This is a great picture!!! I love it!!! :) She's really cute and he's a nice looking guy too. Sorry for your loss of Maggie. I wish Finn and Diggory a wonderful healthy happy life. :D
My heart goes out to you for your loss of Maggie, and blessings to you for giving little Finn and Diggory such good lives here on earth...our chocolate, Abby, went to the fields of heaven last August and she is watching over Jesse and Annie everyday I'm sure. This picture says it all (although it WAS hard to choose, Finn is very photogenic :) !!) Biscuit overload to these two!
Had to pick this shot (though the end one of sleeping puppy was almost irresistable!) as 2 of mine do exactly this and coincidentally the pup was bought for the same reason as Finn. Luckily my old gal had a further 2 wonderful years.Anyway I ramble. My condolences for Maggie and my congratulations on Finn. She is a delight and has no doubt helped all the family through the grief of loss. Have many Happy years with them both. Naturally 22plus biscuits for handsome Diggory and the beautiful Finn.Enjoy!
Finn is absolutely beautiful - and so is Diggory! How much fun you must be having! So sorry for your loss of Maggie, though.....
Wonderful picture , how sweet!!!!!!! Enjoy your new puppy. I am so sorry for your loss of Maggie. I know Finn will keep all of you busy . Many happy years ahead. Lots of biscuits for Finn and Diggory.
Love the Irish names. I can just imagine a little pub right down the street. Your puppies are beautiful and everyone is right, labs are very special. I have never had a lab live with me, but I see their majesty, strength, and splendor each time I see one. They are a beautiful breed. Enjoy your babies and lots of biscuits to everyone.

Henry David Thoreau said "The only cure for love, is to love more." Looks like Finn is helping out there! My deepest condolences on Maggie - and congratulations on Finn. I just lost my most favorite, Jester, just before Christmas. I just adopted a new friend, Ember, two weeks ago. The love must continue ...
Best wishes to your family of 4 leggeds for a long, happy, healthy life together!

I have had some "technical difficulties", & was unable to post for while. Fixed now, I hope.
Anyway, congrats on Finn joining your family! She is absolutely precious, as is her big brother. I am sure you will have many years of happiness with them. I chose this pic since it was the best one of the 2 of them...your Diggory reminded me of my Sharah, gone now for 3 years, but who will live forever in my heart--just as I'm sure Maggie will for you!
I love every picture! Finn laying on top of Diggory, is precious! Labs are wonderful dogs! We have 2 right now, and two before that. They have all been rescue dogs. Finn is a very beautiful puppy! That is great that Diggory(love the name!) bonded with her so fast! Sorry for the loss of Maggie!
mtframsey's post says it all. Great love for our animals must continue on in the love of new animals after heartbreaking losses. While Finn did not arrive before Maggie's death, she came in to help you and Diggory continue the love. She is beautiful and Diggory is gorgeous. Hugs, kisses and lots of biscuits to both Finn and Diggory.

Finn and Diggory are both Precious
Finn is absolutely adorable. I have a chocolate, a black and a yellow lab and they are all so unique. My heart goes out to the loss of your Maggie. I know what you went through as I've been a lab owner for over 20 years. Enjoy your babies and give Finn a big doggy hug from Dude, Denali and Cheyanne!!!

Many kisses to Finn and Diggory... and flowers to Maggie!
Happy 2008! :)
Finn is sooo cute. Hard to choose just one pic, but the ones you have of her when she is the youngest are esp. heart melting! I also really like the second one with her and Diggory together.
My black lab Cody used to sleep cuddled up next to his yellow lab sister Katey. This picture brought back wonderful memories. Cody and Katey are both playing with your Maggie. Good luck with Finn and tell her big brother that he is a most fortunate labby! Biscuts galore for all!
I envy your two labs, they are the best of friends. We lost our beloved black lab Casey at the age of 13 in Sept. I wish I would have gotten her a friend when she was younger.
Enjoy, enjoy, savor all the puppy memories!
Oh Finn you sweet baby girl!!! Each one of your pictures made me say "Awww" Just love the pictures of you and your big brother! Many happy days!
SOOOO many cute pictures - it was hard to pick a favorite but I think Finn and Diggory snuggling won my heart! I'm so sorry to hear about your Maggie - it's NEVER easy to lose a beloved pet but it's wonderful that Finn has entered your home and heart...and the heart of Diggory too!
