Chloe's mom says: In July 2007, Remi, my first Italian Greyhound puppy, and I got to meet her little half-sister (same Sire), Chloe Sophia, for the first time. I thought it would be wonderful to have two sweet, quiet little lap dogs from the same breeder and same blood line no less. Remi was such a good puppy...I knew I could easily handle two. What a surprise! After a short, uneventful ride from the airport, it was time to introduce the puppies. I expected little Chloe to be shy and need some protection from my top dog. That was totally unnecessary. She marched right in the door, drank both bowls of water, ate both bowls of food, grabbed two of Remi's toys and settled into Remi's bed. It took a few days for Remi to reclaim some of her territory...or at least half of what used to be hers. Fortunately, they quickly became inseparable. It is adorable to see them kiss each other good morning and good night. One will not eat or sleep without the other by her side. Baby Chloe is teaching Remi all of the fun things she missed out on in her early puppy days...like how to bark and lick, how to get the squeakers out of every toy they own, how to hide their puppy snacks under Mommy's pillow in case they get hungry during the night, and how to dig holes in the carpeting. One look at their cute little faces, however, and I can't possibly feel anything but forgiveness. I truly love them both.

The story of Chloe's introduction into your home was hysterical!! She sounds like quite a character and at the same time, just as sweet as can be! The devotion between the pups is simply beautiful!Many happy years with both of them!

Oh my goodness! I have a little 5 pound IG named Vinny who is an absolute dream dog (he looks just like Chloe, too!). He loves to cuddle and run outside and then, of course, pass out for the rest of the day. I get so excited when I see other IG owners because I feel like out of all dog breeds, we really share a bond with each other. What a wonderful little pup and what a great family for her to go into! My heart is honestly warmed from these pictures. I love it!
Love your new little baby. She's adorable! I have an Italian Greyhound granddog that looks so much like Chloe, even to the white stripe up the nose. I have a Whippet of my own, but I love it when my daughter's dog comes to visit. What great dogs these sight hounds are!

What a good girl Remi is to so readily accept her new sister! She is obviously thriving. Both dogs are lovely! I have a full sized brindle greyhound and just love seeing this breed. Thanks for submitting your photos! Give your girls a sweet kiss on their beautiful soft foreheads for me.

As an IG owner (and one dachshund who thinks he is an IG) I was so excited to see your little girl as the featured puppy! Chloe is one precious little angel!!! and Remi is lovely too. I just lost one of my IG's this past October (he and his sister , who I still have, would have been 16 next month). They are the sweetest of all dogs -- but I warn people if they do not want a dog that needs to be with you all the time -- don't get any Iggy!!! Mine are always as close as the possibly can to me. Kisses from Gina and Lucci (and Harley the doxie) for your precious girls.....

I'm DYING to get a puppy - and, while all are cute, this may be perfect breed for me, living in condo. I met one a while back - an "office dog" who had the Most precious personality...
My cat (who rules the roost!) would probably freak if I get a dog, but! BUT. While I Love my kitty... I sure would love a dog (as long as I can be in a good position to take care of). I know people crate-train, but it seems kind of cruel. I would so much prefer if I had the time to spend w/pup - don't want to leave all alone all day...

It is so awesome to see 2 beautiful IGs on the daily puppy!! We have 3 ourselves and they are quite the lover dogs of dogs, and the clown,and the mischievious. But by all means the best dogs ever! Other than our german sheperds, do not think we would ever have such a big heart for such a great breed. Our youngest had the same attitude as Chloe come in take over and rule us all.

I am very partial to IGs as two precious IGs (Vinny 5 and Petey 6) own my heart. I bought Vinny when he was 6 months old from a person who didn't want to take time to train him. I soon learned a lot about the breed. Vinny was originally purchased in a petstore from a puppy mill and suffered from separaton anxiety. When he was 2, we adopted Petey from the IG Rescue. They bonded instantly and are the very best of friends. They are such an entertaining breed with their sense of humor as well as being sensitive and very loving! Vinny, Petey and I wish you many years of laughter and love from this wonderful breed of dog!

Italian Greyhound are really incredibly delicate and beautiful little dogs. So cute to see these two snuggling with their pretty little legs stretched out. Thanks for the wonderful pictures and I know you will continue to have lots of happiness with your pups.
Savon19... I'm a little on your side about the crate-training. I know! I know! It's supposed to be "comforting" for our babies, but I had horrible experiences with it... anyway, what I found and did was ensure that I had TWO pupsters, to start. (I just couldn't leave one home alone all day... it would break their hearts.) Then each morning I would pile their beds, toys, a small tv, treats, water (of course!), etc., into my kitchen and gate them. For awhile, I had a webcam to watch them, and honestly, they seemed perfectly content to watch tv, wrestle a little, sleep a lot, eat snacks, sleep some more, until mom came home at 5:30, when the real playing would start. It wasn't perfect, but I knew they were safe and happy until I got home each day.
When God created animals, He placed certain "needs" in them, especially the domesticated ones; they seek love, food, water, a mate and A GOOD BED. I've noticed how dogs and cats are opportunists in this area and Chloe Sophia certainly exhibits her brand of it!

Inseparable is cute, and I'm so glad they get along so well, but please make sure you get them used to some time apart, too, just in case--God forbid--one has to spend time at the vets or anything. You wouldn't want them to suffer being apart if you could avoid it.

Absolutely beautiful dogs, and with such cute mugs I'm sure you are more than tempted to let them call the shots, if only for your own amusement! Beware temptation, it becomes the root of all psycho-drama later on with the barking, chasing, possessiveness etc.
It seems your new girl was born with a higher natural energy (more of a born leader) than your eldest. She's already told you so with that come in - eat all, drink all, take all and hog the bed thing. Even the stack-a-pup picture indicates that she's ON TOP. They get along great because your eldest has a more "follower" energy. That's how it works in the wild, and in the home.

Your babies are adorable. I have a 12 year old IG named Maynard and we have had many years of love and fun. IG's are so sweet and giving. If I could I would have many more IGs, but I don't think my 3 cats would appreciate that. Maynard loves his cat buddies just as your two love each other. One thing you might want to consider though....you might want to think about getting them some toys, cuz dogs like toys.....oh wait.....
