Chelsie the Pug/Chihuahua Mix
Chelsie's mom says: Chelsie is a sassy little girl! Her sire is full pug and her dam is pug/chihuahua, and Chelsie looks like a mini pug. I take her to my parents house for play dates with their pug, beagle, and greyhound... and at a mere 4 pounds she chases the big dogs around without fear! Chelsie is a great balance between silly and smart. I taught her how to sit and then began working on shake by lifting her left paw while rewarding her. We were not quite done learning to shake when my mother taught her to lay down. Now she sits, lifts her left paw and stretches it out to fall into the laying down position! She has also just learned how to go up stairs... but not down!
The unconditional love in those eyes is beyond anything any human could hope to achieve without being reduced to life-long medication from the stress....She''s adorable. 11 biscuits.
Oh my gosh--- what a face! She looks like a sassy little girl, and I am pretty sure she'll give you a run for your money! Long and happy days to all of you, and cuddled-up belly rubs for your little princess!

Chelsie brings back memories of my little pug and greyhound. They didn't really play together, but would snuggle, and when they were out in the backyard they were usually together, except for the times Mandy, the greyhound, would run lickety split around the yard. BoPeep would have the same expression on her little face when she was being frisky as the attached picture. Having had pugs around me most of my adult life, I can see 4 lb. Chelsie being such a sweetie and full of life. Hugs, kisses and 11 biscuits from Kansas.
If I had to look at this every day, I would give him ANYTHING he wanted. What a sweet baby. Enjoy..............

Alas "it" wouldn't let me pick a fav but it is the penultimate one where she is looking so cute and silly. I have also found that diddy dogs are brimfull of confidence - my westie regularly challenges next doors 4 dogs - each of which must be 5 times her size. Good job there's a good fence between them!

Well, Chelsie, you're a great combination and when Mom wrote you were fearless, I laughed because that's how my Chihuahuas are. They don't think they're small. You are a real cutie and have a wonderful life with the pack. And stay away from those jelly beans.

Late in the DP day ... but I saw Chelsie's photos before 6:00 a.m. initially.... 8 week-old puppy don'tcha' know. My first thought was that she was a toy ... that is, not a real dog... a real live animal ... 'til I looked at the rest of the photos. Oh, mannnnnnnnnnn! What a beauty!! If I could see her moving, I wouldn't want to take my eyes off of her. Bless 'em all, but the little ones always tug at my heart. Love her, respect her, teach her, train her ... and don't forget the spay thing. Seven puppies later, I'm high on that bandwagon!!

What an adorable cutie pie! My dog is smaller than the German shepherds she plays with, and she whups their butts every time she plays with them. It took us a long time to get her to go down stairs, but we managed it after a few years. :)
