Skylar is our baby. He will be 11 in November and we've had him since he was 7 weeks old. He's a Labrador, Chow, German shepherd mix that I picked up when I lived in Kansas in response to a "Free puppies" sign stapled to a post. He was the only solid black one out of the litter and was by far the smallest. He was sitting all alone in a corner and I knew that was the one I had to have! I work for the SPCA, and my husband and I are constantly fostering puppies and kittens. Skylar welcomes each foster baby with open paws and is so patient with all of them. Skylar was also our ring bearer for our wedding in October. His favorite things to do are go for rides, take trips out on the boat, and visit all of his buddies at Six Wags Dog Park. He's turned out to be one of the best dogs we could have ever asked for. Everyone who meets hims immediately falls in love with him, as he lays his head every so slightly on their laps and looks at them with his engaging eyes.
Shep/lab mixes are the best dogs on earth and I am absolutely in love. He looks like my Houdini, whom I miss so much. There aren't enough biscuits in the world for a friendly sweetie like this. Kiss his ears for me please!

you gotta love a Lab !! My Sam is 12 years old now and just a sweet old girl - she and Skylar look quite a bit alike, except that Sam is "chocolate" Lotsa love and biscuits every day to this special buddy :)

Skylar is so gorgeous! I have a lab/chow mix myself. She is only five years old. I am a member of the ASPCA and love animals. I hope you continue to have happy and healthy years together.
