Max is six years old, but he still acts like a little puppy. When Max was 10 weeks old, he ran away and was lost for 24 hours. Thankfully, he was found and returned home. He is very smart and he is in love with his Frisbee. Max has six puppies who are now two years old and he loves to torture them. He's a lovable, loyal dog and we would not trade him for anything!

Maxwell looks very like my adored German Shepherd, Lottie, who is also six years old and lives in South Australia, near Adelaide, so you can see how his fame has spread. I just had to comment on how beautiful he is! Enjoy him for many more years!

Can you say, majestic and regal. My God he is gorgeous. I have always loved this breed. My grandparents had nothing but shepards when I was growing up. So loyal and protective they are. It's true- he is so good lookin'! What a good dog you have! Reminds me of our old girl Pickles (my brother named her, we we just little kids!) who looked every bit as regal, but was a big baby at heart! They are the best guard dogs and take their job very seriously. We are going to get more big dogs (from the pound) when we move to our farm in OK and I hope there's some German Shepards or mixes in there!

I love GS we had two of them for many years until they passed on. Max is is truly a very handsome and beautiful fella. The GS in the background here however is a dead ringer for our last GS who was a pup from our other one, i would love to see more of this dog too.

I'm a small person and have always had small dogs, although I truly love them all. I'm sure all of the Daily Puppy folks have received the email about God not being able to be with us all the time so sent an animal, named "dog" ... "God" spelled backward ... to be with us lowly humans. I'd bet this is what he'd look like. Man, Oh, Man ... I know he's a dog, but he looks a whole lot wiser than me and I'm no puppy!!
